Family Traditions and Values
Family Gatherings
We cherish every moment we get to gather as a family, eat, enjoy each other’s company, eat, laugh, and eat.

Nicknames
Filipinos have a tradition of calling their kids a name that’s nothing like real name. Nicknames aren’t like Jake for Jacob or Nick for Nicholas. It’s not even like the Italian Mafia, like “Jimmy Two Times, who got that nickname because he said everything twice” (“I’m gonna get the papers, get the papers”) — haha! name that movie. No, we come up with some weird gibberish: Tikoy, Dinggay, Gootgoot. Sometimes there’s meaning behind it; sometimes not (She’s “Simang” because she’s always simangot (scowl on her face)).
Our family’s tradition of weird nicknames live on!

We are One
We’re there when anyone needs us.
Word typically spreads pretty fast and wide within our family. Whenever someone needs help, there’s always plenty of family who jump in to help.
Did you move from the Philippines to the USA? Who in the family helped you adjust?
Need anything? Chances are someone in the family “knows a guy who knows a guy”.
Shenanigans
Some rascals are worse than others (you know who you are😆) but it’s all in good fun!
